Halloween Dinner

We had some visitors for our Halloween dinner! A bug catcher, an artist, a mad scientist, Bob Marley, a ninja turtle, a lion, and a homeless man!

For dinner we enjoyed sloppy joes, jello (with worms in it), and ghost strawberries.

We also had graveyard pudding and mummy rolls.

Stacy and Irene had a race to see who can take all the tissues out of a Kleenex box using only one hand.
Terry had one minute to use the air from the balloon to knock ten cups off the table.

Karen had one minute to move a cookie from her forehead to her mouth without using her hands.

Rebecca had one minute to stack five apples on top of each other.

Ellen had one minute to transfer as many m&ms from one bowl to the other using only a straw.

Each team had one minute to wrap a team member up with as much toilet paper as they could.

And Irene's team won!!

Way To Go Carter!

Grand Meadow Elementary students tried to display great back-to-school behaviors in the Month of September. When an adult "caught" them doing so, they were given a coupon to put in the Student Council box. In October the student council picked out some students that received a coupon and those students won a certificate for Subway Restaurant. Carter was one of the twelve students to receive the certificate and got his picture in the paper! Way to go Carter! We are VERY PROUD OF YOU!

EP

Aralynn invented a new sport. We call it EP (Extreme Peeing). Anyone can pee sitting down, but it takes someone special to pee like this!

It took two days, but Carter and Aralynn finally finished stuffing the jack-o-lantern bags with leaves!

What is so great about these four items?.....

They can make your bed a "pretty" mess......

...and make your daughter look very "pretty".....

Mommy woke up this morning to a very strong smell. When I sat up there she was shaving cream in one hand, makeup brush in the other, smiling at me. The strong smell was the shaving cream rubbed in all over my bed, even on the pillow I was sleeping on! I guess today is a day to go shopping and replace everything she used up.
After I was done cleaning up her mess, I told her I was mad at her because she used up all my make up. All she said was, as she was pointing to her face, "Pretty!"

Apple Orchard

For the first time, Carter and Aralynn went to the Apple Orchard! They got to taste different apples to see which one they liked the most (Aralynn thought it was more a buffet then a tasting). They came home with two bags of apples! We all enjoyed having some delicious caramel apples :)

Grandma Ellen received an email about a cartoon character doing expressions of what each night of the week is like. We both agreed the cartoon character reminded us of someone.
